Teeth
Whitening
Tooth whitening is
a very popular procedure
that patients request
regularly. At Murray
Scholls Family Dental
there are two ways
to do whitening.
In-home whitening
is done by making
impressions of your
teeth. Flexible trays
are fabricated to
fit over the models
made from the impressions.
A substance called
carbamide peroxide
gel is used inside
the trays and worn
for a period of time
at home.
The
second type of
whitening is
in-office whitening.
Whitening
gel is applied
to the teeth
while the patient
is in the office.
The procedure
takes about one
hour. Generally,
several shades
of whitening
are achieved.
In
both types of
whitening, the
results are phenomenal.
Hundreds of patients
can attest to
this. Ask your
dentist which
type of whitening
is ideal for
you.

Porcelain
Veneers
Porcelain veneers
are a fast and simple
way to give patients
the smile they have
always wanted. Dental
veneers are a great
option to straighten,
whiten teeth and
repair cracks or
chips. Porcelain
veneers are thin
sheets of porcelain
that is bonded to
an existing tooth.
Results are incredible!
Crowns
Crowns are typically
used on teeth
that are broken
or have a large
amount of decay.
They cover the
surface of the
tooth and can
hide teeth that
are damaged or
stained. They
fit closely over
the teeth for
a comfortable
feel and act
much like a natural
tooth.
Composite
Fillings
Composite fillings
are similar in color
and texture to natural
teeth. The fillings
are less noticeable
and much more attractive
than silver fillings.
Since they bond to
the tooth, composite
fillings restore
most of the original
strength of the tooth.

Dental
Implants
A
dental implant
is an ideal way to
replace a missing
tooth. A periodontist
or oral surgeon places
the implant into
the patient's jaw.
Dr. Walker or Dr.
Kelly attaches a porcelain
tooth to the implant.
The implant acts
much like a natural
tooth and patients
are very happy with
the results. It is
the perfect alternative
to dentures.
