Dr. Maxim is a general and cosmetic dentist serving the Portland metro area who is known for his calm, patient-first approach and commitment to comfortable, judgment-free dental care. He believes that feeling heard, informed, and at ease is just as important as clinical excellence.

Originally from Virginia, Dr. Maxim completed his undergraduate studies at Christopher Newport University before earning a Master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Virginia Commonwealth University. He received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from Oregon Health & Science University and has been practicing in the Portland metro area since graduation.

Dr. Maxim is passionate about staying at the forefront of modern dentistry to provide efficient, precise, and comfortable treatment. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and is currently completing the prestigious Kois Center advanced training curriculum—over 250 hours of in-person education focused on comprehensive, evidence-based dental care.

Helping patients overcome dental anxiety is central to Dr. Maxim’s philosophy. He takes time to explain treatment options clearly, answer questions thoroughly, and partner with patients to make confident, informed decisions—without pressure or judgment. Outside the office, Dr. Maxim enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and their goldador. As a family, they love traveling, camping, skiing, golfing, and exploring new food and outdoor adventures throughout the Pacific Northwest.
